Location:

Shepherd's Bush, W12

Type of Loft Conversion:

Rear Dormer Loft Conversion

Timeline:

8–9 Weeks

Summary:

The homeowner wanted to transform their unused loft into a comfortable bedroom with a modern bathroom to create more functional living space.

This project involved converting an underused attic space in a home on Roxwell Road in Shepherd’s Bush into a bright and practical new living area. The loft previously had limited headroom and was mainly used for storage.
After a detailed assessment, we recommended a rear dormer loft conversion to increase usable space and provide full standing height throughout the new floor.
The dormer extension allowed large rear-facing windows to be installed, bringing natural light into the loft and creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Client’s Problem
The homeowner needed additional living space but wanted to remain in their current property.
Their key challenges included:

  • No spare bedroom available for guests or family
  • Only one bathroom in the house
  • An attic space that was not being used efficiently
  • Limited storage throughout the property

The aim was to create a comfortable bedroom and an additional bathroom while improving the property’s overall functionality.

Solution
We designed a layout that turned the loft into a stylish and practical new living space.
The project included:

  • A spacious and bright double bedroom
  • A modern bathroom fitted within the loft
  • Large rear dormer windows to maximise natural light
  • Custom storage built into the eaves
  • Improved insulation and ventilation for year-round comfort

The completed loft conversion provided valuable extra living space and enhanced both the comfort and value of the home.
